Easter

We hope everyone had a great Easter! It is hard to believe that it is over with already and we were so lucky to have such nice weather!

The Wednesday before Easter we met my friend Chandra (http://bushard.blogspot.com/) at the mall to get the kids pic's taken with the Easter Bunny. Caeden did so well and smiled, while Noah just stared off into space. I don't think he knew what to think of him!

Friday night we colored eggs and the kids loved it. Noah even managed to spill his container and we had yellow dye everywhere. Since none of us like, hard boiled eggs, we gave them to my dad except for Caeden's because he was freaking out that Bapa was going to eat his egg!




That morning the kids were so excited to see what the Easter bunny had left them. Caeden LOVED his scooter and Noah loved looking for the eggs and eating the candy! My kids were on a sugar high all day long!






We even made it to church that morning and the kids were so good there. It might have helped that they had some friends to play with! We then headed to my mom's house where she made a delicious meal and we all ate too much. Everyone went outside and we played with some outside toys and had a good time!





We then headed over to Mike's family house. The kids got to have another Easter egg hunt and spend some time with their cousins too! It was a great (long) day and my kids crashed at the end of the night!

Flashback Wednesday!

As we approach Easter, he is a picture of Caeden, Noah and their cousins last year on Easter.

Spring is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it has been a long time since I have updated!!! Like everyone else, we are so excited Spring is here and we can go outside!!! We have spent a lot of time outside. The kids are so excited because they get to get out more and more outside toys and get to go to the park!

Caeden is now too big to ride in the stroller so he has been walking. I had mentioned before that he was too scared to ride his bike, well we got it out the other day and of course now it is too small for him! At least Noah will be able to enjoy it someday! The Easter Bunny is bringing him a scooter, so I am hoping he will enjoy riding that! But he loves to be outside and is such a good help with Noah when we are at the park!

He is learning so much at school and comes home with more and more information he has learned. The other day he was talking about the snow melting and he was like, "mom, I know where the snow goes, it goes into the ground. I am so good at solving mysteries!" He loves to spell everything and anything. Everyday he is asking me how to spell things. We have mastered all the names of the people in his family and we are now onto sports teams as he has mastered the Vikings and the Twins! It is so hard to believe he will be 5 this year!

And Noah, he is quite the character also! To say this kid is obsessed with sports, is putting it mildly! Anything and everything now revolves around sports. Just today he took my hair brush and a plastic golf ball and was playing baseball with it! When he sees a basketball hoop, he goes nuts! He is saying more and more words and it is so fun! Last night at dinner, he yelled "Caeden." I wonder where he gets that from!

April is a busy month for us, as we have tons of birthdays to celebrate including Noah's second! Where did the time go! So I promise in April there will be lots of pictures! I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather! I hear next week could be in the 70's!!! Wahoo!!!

No flashback Wed, Getting ready for the twins

Thanks to Bapa, the boys now have Twins jesery's! They are so excited about them. Noah is wearing the one bapa bought for Caeden about 2 years ago. They both love them and we can't wait to go to Target Field in them!!!

Noah's haircut!

Last night we took Noah to get his haircut! It is a tag team effort as he SCREAMS bloody murder during it. When we pulled up, I noticed the salon was busy and I thought, "uh oh." To my surprise, he didn't make a peep. He sat so well and looked so cute! Auntie Maggie put some "jelly" (what Caeden likes to call it) in his hair and it looks so much better than his rag muffin! Maggie even put "jelly" in Caeden's hair!

Week wrap up!

So this week seems to be moving very slow, but TGIF my friends! Noah and I are recovering from colds, I had pink eye this week and Mike's ankle is still every color of the rainbow you can imagine! THANK GOD, he can now walk on it a little better and I don't have to wait on him hand and foot, I mean help him.

With this warm weather we are having, we have been able to get outside. I think the kids forgot what their toys looked like! We played with sidewalk chalk, bubbles and some toys and even got some walks in! We CAN'T wait for spring!!!

Caeden got to celebrate his half birthday in school this week. He was so excited he got to wear a crown and bring birthday treats! He thought was pretty cool! He is learning so much in school and it is so fun to hear what he is learning! Caeden has been talking about going to the chapel at school and praying to god, but he tells me "God wasn't there there mom!"

Noah is still our little monkey and keeps us busy! I can't believe he is going to be 2 next month. Little by little more words are coming out of his mouth. New word this week, "YUCK." You can bet we will be doing a Mickey Mouse themed party for him!
