July

July has been a busy one for us. I can't believe it is almost over with!!! Where does the time go? We have had fun things to do in July. Lots of play dates of course (this is what keeps me somewhat sane as a stay at home mom). Here are a few pic's from our fun play dates:

We were also able to get down to Sleepy Eye and visit our college friends the Andres family! Every year they have AN AMAZING BBQ and wonderful food! You definitely come stuffed! Caeden and their oldest Meriden had a great time playing together! They also have a little boy Eli that is the happiest boy I have ever met! Thanks for inviting us for a wonderful day of food and friends!

Noah in his big boy bed

Last night we put Noah in his "big boy bed!" And I am happy to say, it was a HUGE success! He stayed in there all night and didn't put up a fuss when having to go in there. It might have helped as he did not nap that day, but who cares, he made it! As some of you know, for Caeden, it was a different story! I am not very good at this blogging so I can't link it, but if you go to 2008 of my blog and March you can read all about Caeden's adventures!

Cascade Bay

Again this summer we are able to do Little Mates at Cascade Bay before it is open! The boys love to swim and are like fish! We have some friends in it with us this year which makes it even more fun! On Monday since Mike had the day off, we decided to make a day of Cascade Bay! We had so much fun as a family. The boys and us LOVED the lazy river! I think Mike and I were more tired at the end of the day, then the boys were!

4th of July!

As most of you know, my dad's birthday is July 4th. This year we celebrated it on the 3rd! Angie and Geoff were able to get a moon bounce for the kids and they loved it! Actually I think Aaron, Geoff and Mike enjoyed it more than the kids! We had great food and great company! I think it is safe to say, my dad had a great birthday!!!

Bril family vacation!

June 27th- June 30th the whole Bril gang headed up North to Huddles resort on Leech lake! We all had a great time and the kids LOVED it! They got to spend lots of time with their cousins, aunts and uncles and of course grandma and g-pa! We had wonderful weather and there was lots of activities for the kids to do! Caeden and Noah loved the playground and the basketball hoop! They also enjoyed throwing rocks into the lake! I can see why people love it up North! There was something that was so relaxing and refreshing about it! We are hoping to make this a yearly thing with the Bril family!

One of the days we rented a pontoon boat and all 16 of us were able to go out in it! We did some fishing and some were brave enough to get into the water! Noah wanted to jump in so bad so we let him, knowing he would quickly jump back on the boat because the water was so cold!

All in all it was a great trip and the boys are still talking about it and can't wait for next year!

Chicago

On June 19th Mike and I were able to sneak away for a quick vacation for the 2 of us! Mike was already going to be there for work so I decided to join him! We were able to get in 2 relaxing day before Mike started work! Chicago is such a great city, so much to do and see and of course the shopping!

We were able to go to Second City (thanks for the recommendation Amy)! Mike and I had never been to a comedy club before! I guess Tina Fey, Chris Farley, Tim Meadows, Steve Carrell, to just name a few started there. It was SO much fun! Mike even got pulled on stage to act out some lines. He was a construction worker from Brooklyn!

Mike went to training on Monday (our 7th Anniversary) and I was able to spend the day all to myself. It was so nice and peaceful! Did some shopping and walking around, eating and just relaxing!

On Monday night we went to the 96th floor of the Hancock building and had a wonderful dinner! The view and the company was amazing!

All and all we had a great trip and it was so nice to spend some one on one time together!
