Happy 31st Birthday Mike!!! His birthday is actually on Sat, but didn't know if I would have time to get this out tomorrow!
Mike is such an amazing dad!!! And the boys and I are really lucky to have him in our lives! We love so much and hope you have a great day!!!!
This week and this weekend Taylor is playing on an all star team, which is called the August classic. He has had 2 games so far and won both of them. Last night he hit a double and I think I was the loudest person cheering for him!!! We love going to his games, they are such much fun!
He has one tomorrow and we can't wait! Way to go Taylor! Keep it up! We are so PROUD of you and LOVE you so much!!!!!!!
It is so hard to believe it is almost August and summer is coming to an end. It doesn't seem like we have had a summer at all! As always we have been keeping busy! Since I am WAY behind on the blogging, I am just going to put a bunch of pic's up!
Some of the things we have been up to:
-play dates, play dates. We LOVE them and they have kept us very busy this summer. Caeden even got to have his friends over for a play date at our house. He thought it was pretty cool to have his friends swim in his pool. We also had play dates at the zoo, parks and other people's house.
-playing outside in our yard. It is so nice to finally have a yard and the boys love to play outside. The newest thing is we are trying to teach Caeden about baseball so we get the tee out and both boys fight over it. I think this is only the beginning of the fighting! We also have met some more neighbors and love it! There is even one that is Noah's age!
-spending time with family and friends! This of course is our favorite thing to do. Noah gets excited when we turn down the street to Nana's house or grandma's house!
-walking around the lake. This is our new favorite thing to do. Caeden asks almost every weekend if we are going to walk around the lake! We pack a lunch and then just hang out for a couple of hours. So fun!
Also, in the month of July, Caeden attended Superhero camp! He LOVED it! He went on Mon and Wed's for about 2 hours and they did a lot of fun things and made some fun things too! On the last day he got to dress up like his favorite superhero!
This of course is just a short list of the things we have been up to! It has been busy and we have even a busier August coming. Watch for pictures of:

This picture is Caeden and his dad playing guitar hero. Caeden's favorite thing to do with dad. This was in April of 08 so he was 2 years old and it is in our old house.

We had a great 4th of July this year! It happened to be my dad's 60th birthday so we put on a big party for him. Before the party started he had told my mom he wanted to open the gifts from us before everyone got there so he wasn't embarrassed! We all went in and got him one gift. So I asked him if he wanted to open his presents and he said, he didn't see a whole lot of presents.
So here here is, opening this box and my family is standing around with their cameras anxiously awaiting him to open his present. He told us later, that he thought it was an IOU of some kind. Haha, dad, very funny!
As you can see from the pic's when he opened it, he was overtaken by emotion as we all were. It was the best. He is not the easiest person to shop for.
Most people know my dad is a baseball nut! He LOVES his MN Twins! So at the new stadium they are building there is a place where you can have your name wrote on a wall. So we bought him that, along with a replica of what it was going to look like. It is pretty cool.
So hopefully when the Twins play in their new stadium, we will be able to see my dad'
s name written on the wall! So cool!
It was a very fun day with a lot of eating, drinking, lawn games and just visiting! I hope my dad had a great birthday and it was just nice to spend time with the family!
We didn't plan on going to the fireworks because it was his birthday, but we were able to see them from my parents house. Some people even were letting them off in the park right across the street from my parents house. Everytime there was a loud boom, Noah would run out of the garage to see it. Caeden on the other hand, covered his ear, but could not resist on watching them. It was a great ending to a wonderful day!
During the summer we spend a fair amount of time at the zoo. The kids and I love to go when we have nothing else to do. Noah, the last couple of times has really got into it and enjoys seeing the animals.
This time Mike got to come with us which was a treat! We walked the whole zoo and looked at all the exhibits! I like going out the the baby farm, but for some reason it freaks Mike out, so it was a LONG walk out there and a short time spent there. We ended the day with an ice cream treat!
We have spent many, many afternoons and some evening hanging out in the backyard with our pools and sprinklers. The boys love it! The boys have got a pretty good tan going because of it! I don't think Mike likes it as much because that means he has to empty the pools and they have been leaving brown spots in our grass, but hey he wants cheap entertainment right?

So sorry for the lack of posts lately! We have been really busy here and I just had not had the time to post some pic's! We have been doing lots this summer to keep us busy! It is hard to believe that summer is half way done!
One of the things we did was a Trains class through the ECFE program! Caeden LOVES trains! He pretty much sat at the train table you see in the picture and played the whole time. Noah had a great time exploring the room!
Today is my dad's 60th Birthday! I always thought it was so cool to have your birthday on the 4th of July. He even had us convivenced as kids, that the reason they have fireworks is for his birthday!!!
