8 months old

Noah is 8 months old today. Wow, time goes by fast! He is growing up way too quickly for us! He is still into EVERYTHING. Glad the Christmas tree is down so I don't have to worry about that anymore! We started him on some table food. He loves cheesy potatoes, toast, peas and carrots. He is so fun to watch him try new things and try and get things in his mouth.

He is still trying very hard to walk. I don't think it is going to be much longer. Then I think, I will have my hands full!

Happy 8 months Noah! We love you!

Christmas

<
It was a great Christmas for the Bril household and we hope everyone had a good one as well. We started the day off going to church with my mom and grandma (we had A LOT to pray for). Caeden did very well sitting in church. I had to pack a lot of snacks and toys. It was so funny because when it came time for them to pass the baskets around to put money in, I had put a check in there and Caeden says "I want my money back." Then he tells Mike, He needs that money! Too cute!

After church we headed over to the Bril household where grandma, g-pa, Uncle Tom, Auntie Steph and Santa Kevin were there. When Kevin showed up, he had a Santa hat on and all night Caeden called him Santa Kevin!

Caeden was very excited to to open presents. He got some really nice gifts and we are lucky to have family spoil him! Caeden also enjoyed opening other peoples presents and would get excited to see what they got.

Caeden was busy playing with his new toys so the adults got to play the game Apples to Apples. Very fun game. We had a great time laughing and having fun. It was a great way to start off Christmas!

That morning Santa had came. At first Caeden did not know what to think and then he saw his bike and got all excited. He had been asking for a red lighting bike. He wanted to get on it right away and we were showing him how to use it. Then it was time to open the stockings. Caeden then wanted to open the rest of his presents from Mom and Dad. Noah just sat there and didn't know what to think.

Caeden was a big helper on showing Noah his toys and what Santa brought him. I think he just wanted to play with his toys! Noah loved his new ride on toy and his new "chew" toys!

Then it was off to the madness! Christmas at my parents house is an ALL DAY thing. We open presents one at a time. We love it. The kids this year all went at the same time so it was hard to see what everyone got. They all loved opening their presents and their faces were priceless!

Here are some more pic's of the kids opening their presents. Even Mike got into it with his presents. Again we are very luck to have family that SPOILS them! Sorry for the pic overload!

Mike and I are looking forward to a New year and want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Hope 2009 and a great one for everyone!

Trying to walk

Noah is growing up WAY too fast for me. He will be 8 months on the 29th. He is a sneaky little guy. Is now crawling all over the place. He loves to crawl over to the steps and try and climb up them! Caeden reminds him he can't do this. Time to get ANOTHER gate!

He is also taking some steps. He will pull himself up onto things and then take 3-4 steps. NO!!!!!!!!!!!! This is way too early. You can tell he wants to walk so bad. He loves his little push toy and pushes that around the house. I think in a couple more weeks he will be walking. See what I mean about growing up too fast?

He loves to giggle and laugh. Any toy Caeden has out, he has to go after. His favorite things are Gerber puffs and gets so proud of himself when he can put them in his mouth!

He loves to babble and talk to you. He LOVES Nana's Christmas tree!

We are just enjoying this time with him. Such a little guy!

Almost Christmas

Sorry for the lack of updates! Most of you know we are going through some "sticky" stuff right now (probably not the best word) and have been busy with that. I can't believe Christmas is only a couple days away. Caeden is SO excited. This is going to be such a fun year because he is really going to get into it. When you ask him what he wants he says "a red lighting bike." Good thing we got him one. Mike and I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning!

We didn't get to do all the fun things this year (holidazzle parade, rice park to name a few), but we did get to do some. We made cookies at home. Of course I just bought the already cut out ones and we frosted them. Even Mike got into it! We also went to look at Christmas lights. Caeden loved this and Noah slept through the whole thing!

We hope everyone has a great Christmas. Here's to a New Year!!!

Some random pic

Here are some new pic's of Noah. He is constantly on the move. Like I said he is doing the "army" crawl to get where ever he wants. He now wants to pull himself up onto EVERYTHING. The poor kid has so many bumps and bruises from falling. Mike and I wonder if he will even do the normal crawling and just go to walking?

Caeden's 1st day of class

Once again we are doing ECFE classes. Caeden and I both love them and have a really great time. Both of us have met some really nice people and friends. This time I am doing a class with Noah. Him and I will be going on Tuesdays from 10:45 to 12:15. It will be nice to spend some one on one time with him while Caeden is in the child care room.

Caeden has his class on Wednesdays. Again it is great to have class with him so I can also spend some one on one time with him. He loves going to play with his friends and playing with all the different toys.

On Friday's he attends Time for Kids. It goes from 12:30-3 and it is by himself. It is set up just like preschool would be for him. I think it is something they have to get the kids ready for preschool! He was so excited to go on Friday and we talked about it all week, on how mommy would drop him off and then pick him up. When I dropped him off he did just fine. I think I was the one that had more trouble with it! They have a little window that you can peek in. It was so cute because there some of his friends from the other ECFE classes are also in there and when us mom's peeked through the window, our kids were all playing together at the sensory table. One of the mom's said "look our kids are forming their own clique."

When I went to go pick him up he was sitting at the table with his backpack on waiting for the teacher to call his name. It was so cute. He said he had a great time and had to call everyone and let them know how the day went. I am so glad he liked it and will be looking forward to Friday's!!!

7 months

Noah is now 7 months old. Whew, time has flown by! He is such an interesting little guy now. He is constantly on the go and we have to watch him like a hawk! He is still doing the "army" crawl, but is moving fast! We discovered tonight he can pull himself up onto things. He loves my laundry baskets as he takes the clothes and throws them out!

I remember with Caeden how I wanted him to crawl so badly and now with Noah, I am thinking, I wish he wasn't crawling already. We do have bets here on when he is going to start walking. I think he is going to beat Caeden as he was 11 months when he started to walk. I think, we are going to be in trouble!!!

He loves to sit up and play with all his toys and puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. Caeden likes to remind him not to put things in his mouth. He also likes to remind Noah which toys are his!

Right now Mike and I are just enjoying these last "baby" moments I guess that we have with him!
