Crazy MN weather

Well for most of you that live in MN saw that we were dumped with snow yet again. Funny because yesterday we took Caeden to the park, and today I had to clean off my car. Here at the Bril house we have never been so anxious for spring to come. I think we are ready to be outside to play and run around.

We are keeping very busy at the Bril household. Caeden keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh everyday. Today we were at ECFE class and the teacher informed me that Caeden entertained everyone by singing Bon Jovi to them. The teacher thought it was great. I wasn't sure if I was more embarrassed or proud!

At my 34 week appt we got good news and my dr told me she was going to induce me on the 28th of April. Thank goodness. There is an end in sight! I was induce with Caeden and had the drugs in plenty of time so I did not feel a thing. I just hope that same thing happens this time. Mike of course is happy because now the baby will have 2 #8's in his birthday!

Here are a couple of pic's of Caeden playing guitar hero with Mike and Caeden with his ECFE friends.

Happy Easter

We hope everyone had a great Easter. Caeden was very excited that the Easter bunny came. We even made it to church with him and he sat o.k. during mass. Here are a couple of pictures from that day.

This is why we love Bon Jovi

On Wednesday Mike and I got to go to the Bon Jovi concert. We took some pic's and some videos so our little musician could see him. Here is a picture of Caeden dancing to Bon Jovi and a picture of himself Jon Bon Jovi!

Swimming lessons

We decided to put Caeden in swimming lessons (well actually I did). We had him in them last winter through Farmington and the water was so cold that his teeth were chattering and his lips were turning blue. So this time I wanted to put him in Wise swim school where the pool is 90 degrees. Well as you can see from the pic's, it did not go so well. He screamed the whole time and held onto Mike for dear life. I am sure the other parents were like, get him out of the pool. So when we were walking out to the car, Caeden says "That was fun mommy in the pool." Yes, Caeden really fun. Hopefully next week we will have better luck!

Name that baby

This Sat I will be 33 weeks. I am counting down the days until we get to meet him. Although this pregnancy has not been as bad as Caeden's was, I am still ready to be done. I am not sure if Caeden quite understands what is going on. When we ask him if he is going to have a baby brother, he says no, sister. My parents have a picture of the ultra sound picture at their house and when you ask Caeden where his brother is, he points to the picture.

We still do not have a name. I like one name and Mike won't like it. Mike will like a name and I won't like it. So we are at the point of any suggestions and help please!!! I am just hoping we find a name we both like before the baby is born.

The Adventures of Caeden's new bed

On the 8th of March we decided to put Caeden in his "big boy bed." We had tried this back in Jan with his new bunk bed and needless to say Mike ended up putting the crib back together at 11:30 at night because he would not sleep in the bed.

Well then we got the idea to take the bunk beds apart. We went a couple days before and got Caeden some "special" toys he could bring in his new bed. Mike took the crib apart and we explained to Caeden that his crib was broken and it was time to sleep in his big boy bed.

The first couple of nights did not go so well. He had already figured out how to undo the plastic door lock we put on. After following Super Nanny's guidelines for 45 min I decided to lay down next to him until he fell asleep.

The next day he would not nap and I began to think, what have we done? That night after doing the same routine as the night before Mike just sat next to him until he finally crashed.

I can now proudly say that he doesn't need us in the room to fall asleep (but we still have to be in the loft) and we did not give in and put the crib back together!!! Yeah to us!

Here I thought he was going to be the first college student to go away to school and still not sleeping in a "big boy bed."

Mike's comment on the whole thing was, I don't care if this next baby is 10 we are not pushing him out of the crib and into a bed.

Finding Nemo on Ice

Last weekend Mike and I took Caeden to Finding Nemo on Ice. Of course I was thrilled we were going to be doing something as a family and taking Caeden to something like this. Mike of course, was not so thrilled and began to wonder if he would soon find himself at all kind of these kid events.Caeden had a great time! We actually all did. It was so cute to see Caeden's face light up when Nemo came out. The good thing is that while we saw all the other kids begging and pleading for the cheaply made and expensive toys, Caeden just wanted popcorn and ice cream.
