We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. It sure was busy at the Bril household. On Sat Mike and his dad worked on putting edging in around the house while I pulled weeds. NOT FUN!!! It took most of the day just doing the edging and putting the mulch in. After MANY trips to the store to get more supplies they had finished about 8:30 at night. Whew what a day.
I had to keep the kids entertain while Mike and his dad were busy. We got the kids a water and sand table ( but I only put water in there because I knew Noah would eat the sand). Of course Caeden played with it more than Noah and kept Caeden pretty entertained. I also got out our "Diego" sprinkler. Noah thought it was pretty fun to run through it and get wet!
On Sunday we had a VERY busy day. Noah was getting his 1st year pic's taken. A friend referred me to a photographer that is located in WI. The boys were not that cooperative, so I was really nervous on what the outcome would be. We got to see a "sneak peek" and they look GREAT so far and can't wait to see the rest of them. As soon as I get more I will post them on the blog.
It was now time to head up to Uncle Kevin and Uncle Tom's house for some swimming and a BBQ. The boys had a great time swimming. Just like last year Caeden was a little hesitant to go in the pool. With some help from dad, life jacket and some cool "car's" wings from grandma he had a ball. Noah had a great time too floating in his turtle! We had a great day up there with swimming, playing in the yard and some good food. Thanks Uncle Kevin and Uncle Tom for having us at your house! We had so much fun!!
Monday was back to the yard work. We were up early and ended up getting some shrubs to plant. Our very generous neighbors and soem friends also gave us some plants and helped us put them in. It is so nice to finally have landscaping. We are still not done, but at least we made a dent into it. Mike and Caeden mowed the lawn and everyone was exhausted by the end of the day!!!
